Wendy’s Breakfast Poutine Canada 2026: What It Is and Where It Fits on the Menu

Wendy’s Canada launched Breakfast Poutine nationally on May 4, 2026, adding a morning version of one of Canada’s best-known comfort foods to its breakfast lineup.

Last checked: October 14, 2026. This is an independent menu update and is not affiliated with Wendy’s.

What Is Wendy’s Breakfast Poutine?

The breakfast version starts with Wendy’s seasoned breakfast potatoes rather than regular fries. Wendy’s announced two versions for Canada:

• Classic Breakfast Poutine: seasoned breakfast potatoes topped with gravy and Canadian cheese curds.
• Swiss Cheese Breakfast Poutine: seasoned breakfast potatoes with Swiss cheese sauce and Canadian cheese curds.

Wendy’s also said customers could add two strips of Applewood-smoked bacon. The poutine can be ordered on its own or used as an upgrade with a breakfast combo, subject to restaurant participation.

Why This Is a Canadian-Specific Menu Item

Wendy’s specifically framed Breakfast Poutine as a Canadian launch. Its announcement highlighted Canadian-grown potatoes and cheese curds from Quebec, making the product particularly relevant to the Canadian menu rather than a generic Wendy’s breakfast page.

Is Breakfast Poutine Available All Day?

It is a breakfast item, so availability follows the participating restaurant’s breakfast service rather than the all-day lunch and dinner menu. Breakfast times vary by location.

How Much Does It Cost?

Wendy’s Canadian prices can vary by restaurant, province, promotion and ordering channel. Delivery prices can also be higher than pickup. Check the official Wendy’s app or the menu for your selected restaurant for the live price.
