Wendy’s Allergen Guide Canada 2026: What to Check Before Ordering
Wendy’s allergen information should be checked item by item because ingredients and preparation can differ across sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items, salads, desserts and sides. This page explains how to use allergen information safely; it is not a substitute for Wendy’s current restaurant-level guidance.
Important: Wendy’s states that it identifies known instances of allergens, but cross-contact is possible because restaurants use common handling and preparation areas. Wendy’s does not guarantee that any menu item can be completely free of allergens. Customers with allergies or sensitivities should use judgment and confirm current information directly with Wendy’s before ordering.

Common Allergens That Can Appear on Wendy’s Canada Menu
Depending on the product, official Wendy’s Canadian item pages can identify allergens such as dairy or milk, egg, wheat, soy, mustard and sesame. This is not an exhaustive list, and the allergens for one product should never be assumed to apply to another.
Examples From Current Canadian Items
| Item example | Allergens listed by Wendy’s |
|---|---|
| French Toast Sticks Kids’ Meal, 3 PC | Dairy/Milk, Egg, Sesame, Wheat |
| EGG BLT Combo | Dairy/Milk, Egg, Mustard, Soy, Wheat |
| Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit | Dairy/Milk, Egg, Soy, Wheat |
These examples show why allergen checking must be product-specific. They should not be used as a shortcut for products that are not listed in the table.
Cross-Contact Matters
An ingredient list and a cross-contact risk are not the same thing. A product may not intentionally include a particular allergen but can still be prepared in an environment where shared equipment, utensils, surfaces or handling are used. People with serious allergies should discuss their needs directly with the restaurant before ordering.
How to Check an Item
- Open the current Wendy’s Canadian menu or app.
- Select the exact item and size you plan to order.
- Review its Ingredients and Allergens sections.
- Check whether customization changes the ingredients.
- If the allergy is serious, contact the restaurant directly about preparation and cross-contact before ordering.
Allergens and Nutrition Are Different
Calories, fat, sodium and protein do not tell you whether a food contains an allergen. Use our Wendy’s Nutrition Canada guide for nutrition data, but use current product-specific allergen information when food safety is the concern.
Corrections
If you find an allergen statement on this site that appears inconsistent with Wendy’s current Canadian information, report it through our Contact page. We treat allergen corrections as high priority.
